Ricardo Ivan Campos

Ricardo Ivan Campos, 21, of 937 Davidson drive, Roswell New Mexico was born in Roswell, NM on February 6, 1991, where he lived all his life. He went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 24, 2012. His parents Manuel Ricardo Campos of Chihuahua, Mexico and Maria I. Campos of Cuahutemoc, Chihuahua, Mexico, the rest of his family and friends will always treasure the precious memories he left behind. Ricardo had a variety of interests, and truly loved life. He worked as a Refrigerator Mechanic for Fortune Transportation. He attended Eastern New Mexico UniversityRoswell. He loved and had a great hunger for learning. His big dream was to become a Chemical Physicist. His favorite subjects in college were Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics One of his greatest passions was to speak Russian, French and German which he learned this year, in addition to already being bilingual in Spanish and English. He also loved Target Shooting and riding his motorcycle, which he did every time he had the opportunity

Ricardo is survived by his parents Manuel Ricardo and Maria of the home sister Cristina Taylor and her husband, Christopher Taylor of El Paso, TX grandparents Aplolonio Campos and Monserrat Coronado, of Cuahutemoc, Chihuahua, Mexico uncle Leopoldo Campos and wife Blanca, of Carlsbad, New Mexico aunts Susy Gonzalez and her husband Javier Gonzales, Luz Salamanca all of Roswell, NM Maria Elsa, Josefina and Velia Campos, of Cuahutemoc, Chihuahua, Mexico Elizabeth and her husband Santiago Savala and their five children cousins Luisa Maria and her husband Alejandro Lozano and daughter, Natalia a of Roswell, Javier Gonzalez, Jr. and his wife Bailey Gonzalez, Jaqueline and Joana Gonzalez all of Roswell, NM Isela, Juana, Lupita and Miguelito Hernandez, of Cuahutemoc, Chihuahua, Mexico. He had a big family and many more cousins and loved ones too numerous to mention.

Ricardo was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandmothers Juana Soto de Campos and Maria Luisa Solano de Coronado of Cuahutemoc, Chihuahua, Mexico his uncles Juan Campos of Juarez, Chih., Mexico and Manuel Salamanca, of Roswell., NM. . He will be greatly missed by his family and those who truly took time to get to know him and share their lives with him.

Mass will take place at St. Johns Catholic Church on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 10 am with burial following at South Park Cemetery in Roswell, NM with Father Juan Antonio Gutierrez officiating. Ricardo will lie in state Wednesday, August 29, 2012 from 9:00 to 7:00 pm.
