Rene S. Villa
A Rosary is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at the Ballard Funeral Home Chapel for Rene S. Villa, 52, of Roswell who passed away October 25, 2009 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center after his struggle with cancer. A funeral mass is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 29, 2009 at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Hagerman. Father Brian will officiate. Burial will follow at Hagerman Cemetery.
Rene was born on October 6, 1957 in Artesia, NM to Seberiano A. Villa and Ofelia M. Sauceda Villa. His father has preceded him in death.
Rene married Laura Paz on October 20, 2005 in Roswell. His wife survives him at the family home.
Rene is also survived by his step son: Ernesto Analla of Everett, Washington; his step daughter: Marisela Analla of Roswell, NM; his brothers: Raul Villa and wife Delores of Roswell, NM; Ray Villa and Richard Villa of Las Vegas, NV; sister Rosa Shea and husband Tim Shea of Hagerman, NM; several nieces and nephews and one grandchild: Gage Flores.
Rene was a graduate of Hagerman High School class of 1976. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp. in 1976 and served until 1980. Rene resided in the Hagerman Roswell area. He attended ENMU- Roswell and Portales receiving his Bachelors degree. His most recent employment was a sales representative for Southwest Wines, a
ision of Deming, NM; traveling the New Mexicos southwestern cities. His passion was music. His talent as a guitarist was well known in the Roswell and southwestern New Mexico area with Tejano Music as his desire. Playing with local talented bands his musical technique was not only appreciated but respected. He was one of the members of the local band DANZAR. Other joys of his life were reading, sports and his occasional horse races and casinos.
Pallbearers will be DANZAR band members: Andy Sanchez Jr., Joe Sedillo, James Aguirre, Alex Palomino, Romano Sanchez and Robert Leal. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ernesto Analla, Alex Paz, Luis Paz, Rudy J. Romero, Dan Judiscak, Alisha Paz, Marisela Analla, Andrew Judiscak, Mario Paz, Alan and Stephanie Shea, Jeremy Leaton, Alex Louis Barrera and Richard Garcia.
