A rosary is scheduled for 7 pm, Friday, June 15, 2012 at St. Johns Catholic Church for Ramona Aragon Ramirez 81, who passed away on Monday, June 11, 2012 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. A funeral mass is scheduled for 10 am, Saturday, June 16, 2012 also at St. Johns Catholic Church with Father Juan Antonio Gutierrez officiating. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.

Ramona was born May 17, 1931 in La Calera, Texas to Eduardo and Juanita Jaime Aragon. Her parents preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her husband Manuel Ramirez son Joe Perez Jr. sisters, Felicita Aragon, Mauricia Molina, Manuela Aragon and Maria Luisa Miranda and brothers Frank Aragon, Leon Aragon, Eduardo Aragon Jr. Dimas Aragon, Cresencio Rede, Ramundo Rede and Benjamin Natividad.

Ramona is survived by her daughters Alice Molina of Sandia Park, NM, Victorina Estrada and husband Luis of Odessa, TX, Dominga Perez, Albinita Ramirez, Rachel Ramirez and Stacy Peyton all of Roswell brothers Pablo Rede and wife Precilliana of Pecos, TX, Juan Rede and wife Margarita of Lovington, NM sisters Maria Garciaroiz and husband Jesus of Midland, TX and Agapita Lopez of Lovington, NM grandchildren Toni Renee, Lee Ann, David, Jose, Esperanza, Eloy Jr. and Marina great grandchildren Kya, Noah, Brody, Olivia, Sonya, Ella, Chelsey and one on the way. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and her best friend and coffee buddy, Mary De Los Santos.

Ramona lived in Roswell for 66 years and was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed playing bingo and gardening.

Those to serve has pallbearers will be David Perez, Jose Segura, Enrique Feliciano, Augustine Aragon, Michael Peyton and Victor Baca.
