Ramon L. Ramos

A rosary is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., Sunday, December 21, 2008 at St. John's Catholic Church for Ramon L. Ramos, 67 of Roswell who passed away December 15, 2008 in Carlsbad, NM. A funeral mass is scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Monday, December 22, 2008 at St. Johns Catholic Church. Fr. Juan Montoya, O.F.M., of St. Johns Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.

Ramon was born on March 6, 1941 in Durango, Mexico to Juan Ramos and Juana Lopez Ramos. His parents have preceded him in death.

Ramon married Tillie Ercilia Najar. She survives him at the family home.

Ramon is survived by his daughter: Joanne Coggin and husband Ron of Carlsbad; his sons: Mario Najar and wife Robyn of Albuquerque, NM, Larry Gonzales of Carlsbad, and Ramon Ramos and wife Erica of Albuquerque; brother: Rito Ramos and wife Hortencia of Roswell; eleven grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and his favorite pet his dog Baby.

Ramon has lived in Roswell for over 40 years. He worked as an Assembler for Nova Buss for 21 years. Ramon was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church and was an usher for many years. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports. He also enjoyed going on walks with his granddaughter Mia.

The family would like to thank his nurses Yolanda Davis, Lynn Fugate and the entire staff of the Golden Services and Hospice in Carlsbad.

Pallbearers will be David Ceballos, Armando Ceballos, Phillip Coggin, Joseph Dominguez, Saul Ramos and Sergio Ramos. Honorary pallbearers will be Michelle Ceballos, Alicia Ceballos, Ercilia Najar Mia Cecilia Coggin.
