Penny Dalton

Donald Lee Dalton, aged 85, of Newnan, GA passed away on August 2, 2022, after a long battle with cancer. 

He was born in Roswell, NM to Grady Lee Dalton and Avinel Beswick on December 15, 1936. He grew up in San Diego, CA and Roswell, NM. He was a US Navy veteran, serving four years on active duty and an additional 37 years a US Navy civil servant. He had lifelong passion for boating and fishing.

Donald Dalton was preceded in death by his son David Raymond Dalton and all three of his siblings. He was survived by his wife Penny Jean Dalton, two sons, Gary Lee Dalton and Steven Miles Dalton, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Penny Jean Dalton, aged 82, of Newnan, GA passed away on November 21, 2023, of complications from a long battle with dementia. 

She was born in Burbank, CA to Edgar Riley and Georgia Genevieve King on October 16, 1941. She grew up in Oklahoma City, OK and Roswell, NM. She had lifelong passions of crafting, growing roses and collecting owl figurines.

Penny Dalton was preceded in death by her son David Raymond Dalton and husband Donald Lee Dalton. She is survived by two sons, Gary Lee Dalton and Steven Miles Dalton, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Both will be laid to rest in a joint service. The viewing is at Ballard Funeral Home on December 6, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Graveside services are at the General McBride Roswell Veterans Cemetery at 11:00 am on December 7, 2023.
