Pedro Pete Prieto
A prayer will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 27,2006 at Ballard Funeral Chapel for Pedro Prieto 84, of Dexter, who passed away August 24, 2006. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 24,2006 at Ballard Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow the service at South Park Cemetery.
Pedro was born on November 26,1921 in Tornillo, Texas to Manuel T. Prieto and Juana Guillen, who both precede in him in death, as well as, a brother Ramon Prieto, and a sister Nicolasa Prieto. On December 13, 1944 Pedro married the love of his life Rosario Ramirez Prieto she survives him at the family home. Pedro was a kind and loving man, and will be missed by all who knew, and loved him.
Pedro was an excellent landscaper, and was well known for his work in farming and gardening. He is survived by his brother Celestino Prieto of Las Cruces; his sister Maria Prieto of El Paso; his sister Gomecinda Prieto of El Paso; his brother Rito Prieto of Las Cruces; his son Agustin Prieto of Bakersfield; his daughter Elia Patterson of Dallas; his son Samuel Prieto and his wife Zuzanna of Gambrills MD
His grand daughter Michelle Hargrave and husband Rafael of Los Lunas; his grand daughter Robin merritt and husband Jason of Virginia; his grand son Eric Prieto of Las Vegas N.V; his grand daughter Dianne Patterson of Tucson; his grand daughter Zuzanna Sofia Prieto of Gambrills M.D; his great grand daughter Ashley Hargrave, and great grandson Steven Hargrave, both of Los Lunas. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Pedro enjoyed fishing, and baseball, and raising livestock. Pall bearers will be Agustin Prieto, Samuel Prieto, Celestino Prieto, Lorenzo Carreon, Rafael Hargrave, and Enrique Hernandez.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care Ballard Funeral Home and Crematory.
