Paula C. Romero

A rosary is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., Sunday, January 4, 2009 at St. Johns Catholic Church for Paula C. Romero, 83 of Roswell who passed away, January 1, 2009 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. A funeral mass is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 5, 2009 at St. Johns Catholic Church. Fr Juan Montoya, O.F.M. of St. Johns Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.

Paula was born on June 30, 1925 in Balmorhea, TX to Chon Chacon and Luisa Galindo Chacon. Her parents have preceded her in death.

Paula married Jose Romero in Texas. He has preceded her in death as well as her four sons: Sammy Romero, Abel Romero, Richard Romero and Rudy Romero; a daughter: Christine Villa; a brother: Genobevo Chacon; and two sisters: Eva Ramirez and Elisa Bejarano.

Paula is survived by her sons: Ismael Romero and wife Robin of Roswell and Raymond Romero and wife Renae of Roswell; her daughters: Bennie Sedillo and husband Gilbert of Dexter, Eloisa Pena and husband Juan of Chandler, AZ, Patricia Sosa and husband Eddie of Roswell, Mary Jane Cobos and husband Floyd of Roswell; her brother: Chon Chacon Jr.; her sisters: Tommie Romo, Lupe Narbaiz and Susan Chacon; her son in law: Alejandro Villa of Roswell; as well as 30 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.

Paula was of the Catholic Faith and was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church.

Pallbearers will be grandsons: Roger Sedillo, Fabian Villa, Robert Vigil, Paul Romero, Anthony Armendariz, Gabby Gabaldon. Honorary Pallbearers will be grandsons John Lerma, Juanito Pena, Andrew Gonzales, Christopher Villa, Fernando Pena, Raymond Romero Jr.
