A memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 am, Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Ballard Funeral Home Chapel for Paul Helvey 75, who passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at his home. Rev. Cecil Kimberlin of VistaCare will officiate. Paul was cremated according to his wishes.

Paul was born September 6, 1935 in Roswell, NM to Paul and Lillian Youngblood Helvey. Both parents preceded him death. He is also preceded in death by his sister Linda Laffew and his brother Billy Helvey.

Paul is survived by his sister Carrie Smith of Jacksonville, Arkansas sisterinlaw Grace Helvey of Sedelia, Missouri his aunt Ruth Payne of Phoenix, Arizona uncle Earl Hendrick of Roswell and his best friend Dan Ayla of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Paul served our country for two years in the United States Army. He was a lifelong resident of Roswell. Paul graduated from Roswell High School in 1955. Paul was a Real Estate Agent in Roswell for many years.
