Patricia Burnside

Patricia Burnside age 71 of Roswell, NM passed away on Friday, July 12, 2019 in Lubbock, TX at the University Medical Center.

Patricia was born in San Antonio, TX on December 6, 1947 to Dawson and Ruth (Condor) Napps. The family later moved to Roswell, NM where Patricia attended Roswell High and later Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell.

Patricia married Curtis Glass Jr. in February of 1965. Together they raised three children and remained married until his death in 1990.

Patricia would later marry James Burnside. Patricia and James raised three grandchildren together and remained married until his death in 2014.

Patricia was known by family and friends to be loving, caring, and selfless to a fault. She was the family caregiver in times of need. She was always there whether it was the failing health of her loved ones or being a mother to her grandchildren, and always fussing over her fur babies of which she had many.

Patricia is survived by one son and his wife Eddie and Sonya Glass of Hobbs, NM. Her older sister Francis Washicheck of Portales, NM. Her twin sister and husband Linda and Larry Hittle of Roswell, NM and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Patricia is preceded in death by her mother and father (Dawson and Ruth Napps); one Brother (Ben Napps); Husband (Curtis Glass Jr;) two daughter (Vicky S. Glass and Sherry Glenn); Brother-in-law (Wayne Washicheck) and Husband (James Burnside).

Pallbearers will be Robert Glass, Drew Washicheck, Larry Washicheck, Jarod Hans, Kory Kinney and Kevin Lauer.

Services are as follows: Viewing at Ballard Funeral Home on Wednesday July 17, 2019 9am-7pm.  Funeral service 10:00 am, Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Gateway Church with burial to follow at South Park Cemetery.
