Graveside services are scheduled for 10 am, Friday, September 2, 2016 at South Park Cemetery for Otto Speth, 89, who passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Mission Arch Care Center. Visitation will be held from 9-11 am and 5-7 pm, Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Ballard Funeral Home.
Otto was born May 13, 1927 in Yuma, CO to Otto John Speth Sr. and Violet Carolyn Siede who preceded him in death. He married Ruth Ann McPherson on December 18, 1982 in Denver, CO., she survives him at the family home.
Those also left to cherish his memory are his step-sons Leslie Eric Sizer and Jason Alan Sizer; brothers Ralph Speth of Lakewood, CO., Donald Speth of La Crescenta, CA. and Wayne Speth of Santa Barbara, CA.; sister Marjorie Ebersole of Denver, CO. and three grandchildren.
Otto served our country in the United States Army during WWII. He retired from Red Ball as a truck driver. Otto had a collection of maps and could give you driving directions anywhere in the United States. His passion was trains, trucks and cars (models and full size).
