Orlando Robles Otero

A rosary is scheduled for 7:00p.m., Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at the Ballard Chapel for Orlando Robles Otero, 64, of Roswell who passed away Sunday, December 9, 2007 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. A Funeral Mass will be 10:00a.m., Thursday, December 13, 2007 at St. Peters Catholic Church. Fr. Paul Juniet, O.F.M. of St. Peters Catholic Church will officiate. According to Orlando wishes he will be cremated.

Orlando was born on September 7, 1943 to Manuel Garcia Otero and Irene Franco Robles Otero. His parents have preceded him in death.

Orlando married Karen Elizabeth Witt on November 9, 1967 in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. His wife survives him at the family home.

Orlando is also survived by his son: Robert Otero and wife Jennifer and their children: Anthony, Lorenzo and Gracie; daughter: Deedre Anne Otero and husband Tony, and their children: Amanda Lee and husband Jack and Dakota; daughter: Jennifer Otero; his brother: Manuel Otero, and wife Lola, and their children Manuel, Richard, and Yvette Hernandez and husband Albert; his sister: Christina Garcia and husband Mike and their children: Michael Garcia and wife Sonya and Irene Lucero and husband Gabriel; sister: Margie Medina and husband Johnny and their children Ernest Medina, and Brenda Contreras and husband Steve; sister: Yolanda Otero and her children Christine and Todd Stewart, and Bernadette Franco and Jerry Franco.

Orlando has lived in Roswell for 43 years. He served his country in the Navy for 20 years. After retiring from the Navy he worked as a Welder at TMC. Orlando was of the Catholic faith. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, 4th degree assembly 1625. He was a past faithful navigator.

Pallbearers will be Albert Hernandez, Anthony Delay, Antonio Morales, Larry Garcia, Manuel Otero Jr., and Manuel Otero Sr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ricky Torrez, Michael Garcia, Louis Garcia, Johnny Medina, Anthony Otero, Lorenzo Otero, Jack Taylor, Tony Garcia, Dakota Delay and all members of K of C
