Oliver Tuner Peck, age 62, passed away on Sunday July 21st ,2019. In accordance to Oliver’s wishes, he will be cremated. The family will have a memorial service at a later date.
Oliver was born on August 23,1956 to Lloyd George and Jimmie (Holland) Peck at Castle Air Force Base in Merced, CA. They moved to Roswell where his father worked at Walker Air Force Base and his mother was a long-time teacher in the Roswell School District. Oliver graduated from Roswell High School and later attended Eastern New Mexico College and earned his Associates degree in Welding Technology. Oliver worked in the oilfield as a pumper and as a Welding Supervisor for Nova Bus.
Oliver married Kelley Lumpkin Peck on July 12th, 1991. Together they raised 2 children, Sara and Eli. As a family, they enjoyed traveling, hiking, and anything in nature. Oliver was also involved in high powered model rockets.
Oliver is survived by his wife of 29 years; his children; daughter Sara Peck Tulk and son Eli Kent Peck and wife Brittany; seven grandchildren; Aubrey, Taylor, and Ella Tulk, Gavyn, Maci, Adylynn, and Kynlee Peck. Sister Georgejan Peck of Seattle, WA.; Nephews; David and wife Kim, Kelly, Patrick and wife Cindy, Steven and wife Amanda, and Brandon; Niece Mimi and husband Lando; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his parents George and Jimmy Peck and sister Jean Peck as well as a great niece and nephew.
Oliver was fun loving guy and enjoyed having a good time and listening to his music.
His family would like to thank Kindred Hospice for their gentle care of Oliver in his last days.
