Nell Twibell

February 24, 1919 — November 20, 2015

The family of Nell Doris Twibell (nee Waymire) is celebrating a life well lived. She was born February, 24, 1919 in Kiefer, Oklahoma. Nell graduated from Bow Legs High School and also graduated from Business College in Oklahoma City. She met Edgar C. Twibell in Seminole Oklahoma where they courted and married December, 25, 1942. On the day Ed left for the war it was raining hard and Nell said she sat down and cried in the rain. After the war Nell and Ed lived in Hobbs, New Mexico until 1958 when they were transferred to Roswell. She served as office manager of the federal credit union now known as the Roswell Community Credit Union. Nell and Ed lived and celebrated 57 years of marriage until his death in 2000. She loved God and was always active in her church. She taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, and late in her life she worked in the food pantry at St. John's United Methodist Church. She enjoyed painting in water colors and singing and playing the organ. She was infectious and unforgettable and a great cook. Nell was a great loving wife, mother, awesome grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by the Twibells' of Santa Fe, sons, Jon and Carl, and their spouses Sandra and JoAnne, and grandchildren Ed, Alex, Julie Anne (and husband, Jacob Nieto), Carla Jo, and Tommie Romero and three great granddaughters Jaelynn, Jazmynn and Juliette Nieto.
