Naomi Louise Wenzel
Naomi Louise Wenzel passed away on Friday, June 26, 2020 in Roswell at the age of 75 years, ten months, and eleven days. She was born on August 15, 1944 into the home of Russel and Dolly Mitchell Huddleston. Naomi was born in Fresno County, California near the town of Firebaugh. Her parents and grandparents had gone to California during World War II to work for a short period of time in the fruit orchards. She soon returned with her family to Hagerman, New Mexico where she spent her young years growing up. She attended the Hagerman public schools. Naomi enjoyed quilting and embroidery. She had resided in Roswell for the past twenty-five years.
She is survived by a son, Paul Huddleston of Roswell, New Mexico; three brothers, Ervin Huddleston and wife Nancy of Andrews, Texas; Eddie Huddleston and wife Sandy of Summerville, South Carolina; and Glenn Huddleston of Odessa, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
Naomi was preceded in death by a son, Michael; her parents, Russel and Dolly Huddleston; her paternal grandparents, Earl and Maggie Huddleston; and her maternal grandparents, Zack Mitchell and Nancy Rooker. She will be buried in the Hagerman Cemetery next to her family.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at Hagerman Cemetery with Pastor Herb Gage of First Baptist Church of Hagerman officiating.
