Nancy Ellen Valenzuela

A rosary is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 22, 2009 at St. Johns Catholic Church for Nancy Ellen Valenzuela, 48, of Roswell who passed away October 21, 2009. A funeral mass is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 23, 2009 at St. Johns Catholic Church. Deacon Luis Romero will officiate. Nancy will be cremated according to her wishes.

Nancy was born on November 9, 1960 in Artesia, NM to Alfred Valenzuela and Margie Dominguez Valenzuela. Her parents survive her.

Nancy is also survived by her son Geno Ray Valenzuela and wife Jessica of Hobbs, NM; her brother: David; her sisters: D.R., Patricia, and Diana all of Roswell; her grandchildren: Alex and Jocelyn and a special friend, Tim, as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins, and her two special poodles, Harry and Palomo.

Nancy was a hairdresser in Roswell before going back to college to become an RN. She worked at Hospitals in Albuquerque. She also had an assisted living home in Albuquerque before retiring. Nancy was a very good cook and enjoyed spending time with her family. She made excellent pies which will be missed by her family. One of her hobbies was astronomy.

The family wishes to thank everyone for their love and prayers.
