Graveside services are scheduled for Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at South Park Cemetery for Minnie Serna, 80, of Roswell, who passed away April 17, 2008, at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. Ms. Serna has been cremated per her wishes. Father Juan Montoya of St. Johns Catholic Church will officiate.

Minnie was born February 27, 1928, in Arabella, New Mexico, to Trinidad Cardona and Maria Marillita Archuleta. Her parents preceded her in death as well as her husband Tomas, sons; Tommy, Ernie and 2 grandsons.

Minnie married Tomas Serna, March of 1946. She was a housewife and a member of the Catholic faith. Minnie will be missed by all that knew her.

Minnie is survived by her daughters: Nora Sanchez and husband Ernest of San Antonio, Mary Lucero and husband Orlando, Janie Sanchez, and Virgie Mendez and her husband Martin all of Roswell, New Mexico; sons: Tony Serna of Hobbs, New Mexico, Alex Cardona of Roswell, New Mexico; 21 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great- grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Ismael Cardona of Bakersfield Ca., and David Cardona of Roswell , her sister Delia Castillo of Roswell, her niece and care provider Sheila Chavez, and her special friend and care provider; Maria Rubio of Roswell.

The family will receive friends after the service at 4307 W. Mc.Gaffey, Roswell, New Mexico.
