Services for Minnie Morley are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 30, 2006 at Ballard Funeral Chapel of Roswell. Minnie was born October 2, 1911 in Warsaw, Illinois to George Samuel and Mary Pernina Hess Russell.

She married the love of her life, Jefferson Heitman Morley, on June 30, 1931 in Illinois, and then relocated to Roswell, New Mexico in 1945. She worked at Lee Macks Laundry until her retirement, and then she spent her retirement years traveling all over the United States visiting her children and grandchildren. She returned to Roswell in May of 2005. Minnie resided at Sunset Villa Nursing Center until her passing at 1:35 a.m. on October 19, 2006.

Minnie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jefferson Heitman Morley, her daughter, Barbara Jean Morley, and her grandson Carl Morley. She is survived by 9 children, 37 grandchildren, 70 great-grandchildren and 24 great-great-grandchildren.

Grandma Morley was very loved by her family and friends, because she always had time for a hug, she never met a stranger and always found room at her table for anyone who needed a meal, an ear, or just a place to sit and be quiet. They had a large family that didnt have a lot of money, but there was a never ending supply of love and somehow, with her efforts and support, they always managed to make do. She loved her children with a passion that never ended and that dedication and devotion to her family has always been a tradition and standard that has been passed down through every generation in her family. Minnie was quiet a woman, whose perseverance and dignity sustained her through her entire lifetime. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Pallbearers will be, Robbie Morley, Rick Morley, Mike Morley, Andy Morley, Mike White, Jefferson Morley Jr. and Wesley Ganaway.

Honorary pallbearers will be Marven Lynchard, Martin Hernandez and Joe Trueson.
