Mickey Shafto

Per her request no services will be held for Mickey Jeannette Shafto, 87, who passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2014 in Roswell.

Mickey was born November 15, 1926 in Casper, WY to Cecil Morris and Clara Aikin whom preceded her in death.

Those left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of fortyeight years Raymond Shafto whom she married December 30, 1965 in Harrisburg, NB sons Kenneth Pedersen and wife Dianne of Denver, CO, Dick Pedersen and wife Roxanna of Worland, WY and Ray Shafto daughters Connie Osborne of Loveland, CO and Sharon Roe of Poteau, OK sister Connie Raisley of Greely, CO and sisterinlaw Wilma Shafto of Cheyenne, WY. Also surviving her are numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mickey was a wonderful artist, she loved to paint. She was Raymonds favorite hunting, fishing and golfing partner where she got 2nd in New Mexico Championship in her age group, Mickey also killed her own elk one year. She was voted Mrs. Congeniality at Villa Del Rey which she was very proud of. Mickey traveled the world to Rome, London, Paris, Berlin, Mexico, Central America and Alaska. She was a very loving person and will be deeply missed.
