Michael J. ODette
Michael J. ODette, a big man with a big heart, passed away November 1, 2010 at the University of New Mexico Medical Center. He was born to Herbert and Evelyn ODette on July 10, 1950 in Providence, Rholde Island. He is survived by his parents, his loving wife Jerry M. WittBates ODette, sister Patti and her husband Dan Lein, niece Amy Little and her daughter Hanna all of Connecticut, step daughters Gaylie Corens and Sevie D. Bates, motherinlaw Helen Witt and many dear friends including his exwife Kathy ODette. A very special thanks to Sharon and Joe Valdez who are dear friends and were always there in his time of need.
Michael was a member of the Single Action Shooting Society, the Antique Tractor Club and Pecos Valley Agriculture Association. Michael moved here from Connecticut because of his love for this state and all things western. He was an aircraft mechanic by trade and was employed by Aersale. Michaels favorite charity was the Humane Society.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2:30 p.m., Saturday, November 6, 2010 at Ballard Funeral Home Chapel. Michael was cremated according to his wishes. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ballard Funeral Home and Crematory. An online registry can be accessed at www.ballardfuneralhome.com
