Maudine Dearman

A graveside service is scheduled 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at Twin Oaks Cemetery in Artesia, NM for Maudine Dearman, 90 of Roswell who passed away October 11, 2009 at her home. Pastor J.E. Shirley of First United Penticostal Church will officiate.

Maudine was born on June 30, 1919 in Eakley, Oklahoma to Chester Shumate and Annie Sanders Shumate. Her parents have preceded her in death as well as four brothers and four sisters.

Maudine married Emmett Dearman on October 20, 1937 in Okemah, Oklahoma. Her husband has preceded her in death.

Maudine is survived by her son: Emmett E. Dearman and wife Virginia of Roswell; her daughters: Shirley Bowman and husband Robert of Edmond, OK, Lewanna Marciel Felts and husband Curtis of Amelia, VA and Coletta Zamora of Roswell; her brother: Troy Shumate of Okemah, OK; her grandchildren: Jeff Dearman, Michelle La Hue, Marty Bowman, Sheila Boggs, Randy Felts, Sandra Bradshaw and Crystal Zamora; her great grandchildren: Rhiannan La Hue, Tessa La Hue, Amorena La Hue, Nathan Bowman, Elliott Dearman, Brenae Reeves, Kaylie Reees; and one great, great grandchild: Shania La Hue.

Maudine has lived in Roswell for 18 years moving here from Hagerman. She was a homemaker and a member of Apostolic Bible Church.
