Estrelia Mary Carrillo Vigil, age 98 passed away Saturday March 26, 2016, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born on February 23, 1918 in Lincoln NM she was the daughter of the late Urbano and Rosa Montano Carrillo. She was the beloved wife of the late Pedro "Daddy Pete" Vigil whom she married on the Diamond A. Ranch in San Patricio, New Mexico. The two were happily married 41 years.
Mrs. Vigil was a resident of Roswell NM. She was Catholic by faith and a member of St John's Catholic Church. She was a homemaker who loved playing bingo, going to the casino, watching sport activities and talking on the phone.
Estrelia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great-grandmother. Mrs. Vigil is survived by her loving family, daughters Sarah Perez and her husband Ramon, Emma Baiza and her companion Bonnie Sanchez, Mary Vital and her husband Manuel, Viola Vigil, sons: Pete Vigil Jr., Felix Vigil and his wife Linda Cooks Vigil, Bobby Vigil, Raymond V. Lucero and his wife Rita Burrola Lucero, and Edward Vigil and wife Imelda Vigil.
She also leaves behind her 34 grandchildren, 77 great grandchildren and 51 great great-grandchildren. She is survived by her brothers Crescencio (Chencho) and Manuel (Nele) Carrillo. Special Friends: Priscilla and Santos Franco Sr., Patsy Silva, Margie & David Rocha, Michelle Niece, Cecilia Marquez, Los Cuates Herrera's and numerous Bingo friends.
In addition to her husband Pedro Vigil, Estrelia was predeceased in death by her sons Pablo Vigil, Godson Alfred Montoya, grandchildren: Anthony Lucero, Ronnie (Gato) Herrera, Pedro Vigil, Robert Vigil Jr., Richard (Huevo) Baiza, and Faith Vigil. Her siblings: Maria (Carrila) Gonzales, Dora Ortega, Isabel Marrujo, Urbano Carrillo, Joe Carrillo and Rosita Torrez. Her Great grandchildren: MiaRai B. Lucero, A-Va Marie Lucero, Larissa Nicole

Visitation will be held at Ballard Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Wednesday, March 30, 2016 from 8:00 am until Rosary time. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm Wednesday, March 30, 2016. A funeral mass at St Peters Catholic Church is scheduled on Thursday March 31, 2016 at 10:00 am, with burial to follow at South Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Richard Villa, Micheal Anthony Garcia, Joseph Lucero, Pablo Kruz Vigil, Manuel Vital, Gabriel Vigil, Jared Perez and Phillip Armendariz. Honorary Pallbearers: Xavi Valdez, Fermin Portillo, Michael Aguilar, Aerailius (A-Ray) Lucero, Yosef Edward Vigil, Brandon Perez, Dominic Anaya and Brian Flores.
A special thank you to all the granddaughters for the love and care given to our Mama. A reception is scheduled after the Funeral at the American Legion Hall.
