Mary Bernarda Plesser Tennie Rollwitz

A rosary is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at the Ballard Funeral Home Chapel for Mary Bernarda Rollwitz, 82 of Roswell, who passed away April 5, 2009 at a local care facility. A funeral mass is scheduled for 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at St. Peters Catholic Church. Fr. Paul Juniet, O.F.M, will officiate.

Mary was born on June 6, 1926 in Appleton, WI to Bernard J. Plesser and Clara Whitlin Plesser. Her parents have preceded her in death as well an infant son and two brothers.

Mary married Joseph Bertram Rollwitz on September 2, 1991 in Roswell. Her husband survives her at the family home.

She is also survived by her sons; Joseph Lee Tennie and wife Catherine Ann of Las Vegas, NV, William Allen Tennie and wife Cynthia Ann of Arlingon, TX and Douglas, Brian Rollwitz; her daughter: Lesleigh Kathleen Keetch of Durango, CO; her brother Clare P. Plesser and wife Dolly of Gahanna, OH; her sister in laws: Eleanor Wagner of Grafton, WI, Bernice Brill, of Appleton, WI and Florence Plesser of Milwaukee, WI; her grandchildren: Julia Ann Tennie, Matthew Lee Tennie, Chris Diaz, Kiera Jeanatte Keetch, Braden Gerek Keetch and Blake Patterson Keetch; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mary has lived in Roswell for 37 years and worked and retired from Roswell Home Furnishings. She was a life long devoted Catholic and was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church and was first ordained Eucharistic Minister in Roswell. Mary was also a member of Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. She was a volunteer for Community Kitchen and Lend-A-Hand. As well as served Home Bound, Elderly Shut In meals and Eucharistic Ministry. She also worked at St. Peters Bingo for 17 years and helped to pay off St. Peters Debt.
