Mary Polaco

Mary was born on December 2, 1951 in Roswell, NM to Eristeo and Marcofla Herrera who both proceeded her in death. She was also preceded by her brother Israel Herrera, her sisters Amelia Lucero, Magdalena Gomez, Prestina Perches, and Ernestine Olveda. She married Elfigo Polaco Jr. on July 28, 1967 in Ruidoso, NM. They would have been celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary this year. They currently reside in Roswell.

She is also survived by her daughter Eva Marie Polaco Watley, along with her kids Ashlea Nicole and Brandon Robert Watley all of Roswell. Edward Polaco and his wife Natalie, their kids Laken Yvette and Edward Louis Jr. of San Antonio, Texas. Jeanette Polaco Cervantes and her kids Lexie Marie, Danielle Lauren, Christina Marie, Jaclyn Lauren, and Manuel Duran who reside in Rancho Cucamonga, California.

She is also survived by her sisters Grace and her husband Savino Sanchez of Roswell, Norma Jean and husband Archie Regalado of Roswell, and her brothers Melvin Herrera and Ernesto Herrera of Tucson, Arizona. Jaime Herrera and his wife Tanya of Alamogordo, NM, and Danny Herrera and his wife Rose of Roswell.

Whether you called her Mary, mom, mamo, Marucs, Mary Mom, Maria, tia/ aunt, Nina, or friend she was always there for you! God gave her the gift of sharing which she used to its fullest. Whether she was sharing her time to make Valentine's cookies for each of her nieces and nephews with their name on it, or helping the Charlie's Angels with the dance uniforms she gave freely. She also shared her time in nurturing her grandkids with their homework, dance routines, sports or being their good luck charm at their events. She also inspired and motivated everyone in her fitness classes.

Viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Ballard Funeral Home.

A prayer service will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. at Church On The Move for Mary Senaida Herrera Polaco, 65 who passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at Church On The Move with Pastor Troy Smothermon officiating. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Robert Watley, Edward Louis Polaco Jr., Manuel Duran Cervantes, and her brothers Melvin Herrera, Ernesto Herrera, Jaime Herrera, and Danny Herrera.
