Mary Frances Moore

Mary Frances Moore, 87, passed away at her home in Scottsdale, Arizona on Thursday, July 22, 2010. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday July 28, 2010 at South Park Cemetery.

Mary was born September 1, 1922 in Amarillo, Texas to Wilfred and Mamie Ball Destree. In 1940 she graduated from high school in Roswell, New Mexico before becoming an Air Force wife, marrying Charles M. OPeil and later Thomas Willard Moore, Jr. A born again Christian, she was a member of the Air Force Officers Wives Club, Daughters of the American Revolution, and the United Daughters of the Confederacy. In addition to raising her family, she enjoyed flower arranging, crafts, doll making, china painting, genealogy and hosting home Bible study classes.

Mary was preceded in death by her husbands and her one and only sister, Mamie Louise Boyd. She is survived by her three daughters: Theresa Alton, Patricia Ann Saunders, and Tami Ann Harmon eight grandchildren: James T. and Stephen D. Vaughn, Kelly M. and Holly K. Alton, and Rocky W. Jr., Joseph T., Destree A., and Victoria P. Harmon. Five greatgrandchildren also survive her.
