A rosary is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 7, 2010 at Assumption Catholic Church for Mary Josephine McGannon, 95, of Roswell who passed away May 2, 2010, at her home. A Memorial Mass is scheduled for 9:30 a.m., Saturday, May 8, 2010, at Assumption Catholic Church. Fr. Bill McCann will officiate.
Mary was born on June 25, 1914, in Ionia, Michigan, to John Bernard Mutch and Mary Josephine Fischer Mutch. Her parents have preceded her in death as well as a sister Theresa Aurelia Peggy Lile.
Mary married Joseph William McGannon on December 26, 1936, in Ionia, Michigan. Her husband has preceded her in death.
Mary is survived by her sons: Patrick T. McGannon and John B. McGannon her daughter: Anne M. Carroll as well as eight grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Mary lived in Roswell for 23 years, moving here from Sterling Heights, Michigan. She was a member of Assumption parish and retired from Michigan Macomb County Life Consultation. She worked as an Executive Secretary for American Legion Boys State in Michigan prior to that.
