Mary Jones

Mary Louise Jones , Our angel on earth made her transition to become a true angel in Heaven, Saturday, December 21, 2013.

Mary was born in Hereford, Texas on November 6, 1927 to Basil Ray Jennings and Ada Mae Jennings Whisenant. The family moved to Roswell, NM when she was 7. Here she met the love of her life 71 years ago. She and Frank L. Mutt Jones were married for 67 beautiful years.

Mary began her career working for KSWS radio selling advertising, only to become Program Director a short time thereafter. She also worked for Stanley Mathis as a secretary and later for Schauer and Stiff as their legal secretary. Her passion in life, however, was her role as loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother.

Mary is survived by her husband, her only child, Patti, chosen son, Kerry Hunter, all of Roswell, granddaughter, Holly Stamps Ybarra and husband, B.J. and grandson, Shane Stamps of Lubbock, TX and his love Melissa. Preceding her in death were her parents and brothers, Raymond Jennings and Edwin Jennings.

Graveside services are scheduled for 11 A.M., Saturday, December 28, 2013 at South Park Cemetery with Pastor Danny Sons of Midway Assembly of God Church will be officiating. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 P.M., Friday, December 27, 2013 at Ballard Funeral Home.
