Marilyn Tringes of Roswell, NM passed away on February 16, 2022. Marilyn was born on August 22, 1935, to Ruben Wetherall and Dorothy Eckles Wetherall in Mansfield, Ohio.
She worked as a parts assembler for TMC Nova Bus for 20 years and then Benny’s Café for 20 years. Marilyn loved fishing with family and friends, flying airplanes with her son, Gary, and listening to him play guitar. While at TMC Nova Bus, she enjoyed cooking and baking for families that had lost loved ones. She was a kind and generous mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be missed tremendously.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Ruben and Dorothy, brother Jiggs Wetherall, husbands Jimmy Stephenson and Robert Tringes, and son Gary Lee Stephenson.
Marilyn is survived by her grandchildren, Joshua Lee Stephenson (Alena); Destiny Stephenson; her daughter-in-law Tammy Wescott (Franklin) and five great-grandchildren, David, Isaiah, Joshua Jr, Elijah, and Matthew Stephenson, all of Lubbock, TX.
Services to honor her life will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 5, 2022, at First United Methodist Church, 200 N Pennsylvania Ave, Roswell, NM with Pastor Tina Cross officiating. Family and friends are encouraged to share their thoughts and memories of Marilyn in a book that will be provided, and light refreshments will be served.
Services are under the direction of Ballard Funeral Home, Edward Herrera, Joshua and Destiny Stephenson, and Pastors Laird and Tina Cross of First United Methodist Church.
