Maria Martinez

Nina Martinez, a lifelong resident of Roswell, New Mexico passed away at UNM Hospital on Thursday, February 21, 2019. Her entire life she was a humble and faithful servant of our Lord Jesus Christ. She loved nothing more than spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her father Pablino Casarez and her sister Rosie Velasquez. She is survived by her son, Ricardo Martinez of Denver, CO and his two children, Tristen and Aiden. Her daughter Monica Martinez-Jones and her husband, Arsenio Jones of Carlsbad, NM along with their children Ryan, Megan, Erin and Payton. Her son Jerry Martinez and his wife Tanith Martinez along with their children Tilden and Atlee of Gunnison, CO. Her son Pete Martinez of Roswell, NM. Her mother Matilde Casarez of Roswell, NM; brothers Louie and his wife Sylvia Casarez of Roswell, NM, Gilbert Casarez of Raleigh, NC and Tino Casarez of Denver, CO; sister Lisa and her husband Mike Hamilton of Roswell, NM and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Tristen Martinez, Ricardo Martinez, Pete Martinez, Jerry Martinez, Arsenio Jones and Ryan Jones. Honorary Pallbearers are Louie Casarez, Gilbert Casarez, Tino Casarez, Aiden Martinez, Tilden Martinez and Mike Hamilton.

Rosary will be at Assumption Catholic Church in Roswell, NM on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 6 pm. With mass Friday, March 1, 2019 at 10 am also at Assumption Catholic Church. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.
