Maria Knudsen

Memorial services for Maria Carmen Knudsen, 79, of Roswell, NM, who passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015, are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Ballard Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Paul Juniet of St. Peter's Catholic Church officiating. Interment of cremains will follow at South Park Cemetery. The family will be accepting visitation from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, Monday, April 20, 2015 at Ballard Funeral Home.

Maria was born January 13, 1936 in Tarragona, Spain to Salvador Cucurull and Maria Carmen Mullort who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband Christian Knudsen; son Christian Knudsen and four brothers.

Maria enjoyed traveling, cooking and being with family and friends. She was also delighted in caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Maria was a longtime volunteer hair stylist for 14 years at Casa Maria. She was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church.

Maria is survived by her son, Eric Knudsen and wife, Paula of Albuquerque, NM; and her daughter, Desiree Wright and husband, Mark of Russellville, Arkansas; also 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
