Maria Christina Gonzales

A rosary is scheduled for 7:00 pm, Sunday, June 5, 2011at St. Catherines Catholic Church in Hagerman for Christina Gonzales 85, who passed away Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Mission Arch Care Center. Funeral mass will also be held at St. Catherines Catholic Church at 10:00 am, Monday, June 6, 2011. Burial will follow at Hagerman Cemetery. There will be a viewing from 12:00 to 5:00 on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Ballard Funeral Home in Hagerman.

Christina was born July 24, 1925 in Presidio, Texas to Elifonso Pereada Madrid and Esatanislada Hinojos Madrid. Both preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her husband Andres Gonzales, son Tom Dominguez, daughter Jerry Bueno and three bothers.

Christina is survived by her daughters, Ida Romero of Roswell, Luisa Rodriguez and husband Manuel of Carpenteria, CA, Lorie Aguilar of Long Beach, CA and Bertha Arredondo and husband Sergio of Santa Ynez, CA, three sisters, granddaughter, Carolyn Aragonez and husband Javier of Hagerman, grandson, Eddy Dominguez and wife Sandra of South Carolina and numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Christina was a lifelong resident of Hagerman and a member of St. Catherines Catholic Church in Hagerman. She loved music and loved to dance. Christina really enjoyed spending time and talking to her friends.

Pallbearers will be Javier Argonez Jr., Frankie Argonez, Raymond Madrid, David Madrid, Eddy Dominguez and Steven Rodriguez.
