No services will be held in Roswell for Margie T. Spain, 86, of Roswell who passed away January 15, 2008 at a local care center. She will be taken back to Hayti, Missouri for burial.

Margie was born on June 28, 1921 in Hayti, Missouri to Lon Tohill and Nan Mitchell Tohill. Her parents have preceded her in death.

Margie married John W. Spain on May 17, 1939. Her husband has preceded her in death as well.

Margie is survived by a daughter: J. Tipton Spain-Vandewart; her sisters: Mary Sutton of Blytheville, Arkansas, Faye Young of Cordova, TN and Alice Ragsdale of Clearwater, FL.

Margie was of the Methodist Faith. She was a member of the Eastern Star, a Girl Scout Leader and she was an avid reader and liked gardening.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Roswell Assurance Home or Vista Care of Roswell.
