Manuel G. Solis

A rosary will be held at 7:00 pm, Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Ballard Funeral Home Chapel for Manuel G. Solis, 89, who passed away on Friday, January 31, 2020 surrounded by his loved ones. Mass will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at St. Peters Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 7:00 pm, Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Ballard Funeral Home Chapel.

Manuel was born January 25, 1931 in Ucareo, Michoacon De Ocampo, Mexico to Cresenciano Solis and Mercedes Duran Solis, both have preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death are his wife of 43 years Beatriz M. Solis; brothers Juan Solis Guzman and Daniel Solis Guzman; stepson Leo Fajardo Sr.; daughter-in-law Hortensia Fajardo; grandson Ruben S. Trujillo Jr., Leo Fajardo Jr., Manuel Fajardo, John Fajardo and Ricky Bustamante.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter Ruth S. Watson of Vicksburg, MS; sisters Teresa Solis Guzman, Ma Concepcion Solis Guzman, Maria Solis Guzman, Elena Solis Guzman, Mecedes Solis Guzman and Vidal Solis Guzman; grandchildren Mercedes E. Anaya of Vicksburg, MS, Jessica S. Christopher and husband Ben of Las Cruces, NM, Alejandro S. Trujillo of Vicksburg, MS, Julia E. Trujillo of Vicksburg, MS, Pascual Fajardo and wife Sarah of Roswell, NM, Anita Sandoval and husband Arthur Sandoval Sr of Roswell, NM, Raymond Fajardo, of Artesia, NM, Paul Fajardo of Artesia, NM, Mike Fajardo of Roswell, NM and Lewis Fajardo of Lake Charles, LA. Also surviving him are thirty-three great-grandchildren.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Pablo Martinez, Dr. Peter Jewell with Kymera & Hospice Team and Kindred Hospice Care who provided comfort care and compassion during his time of need.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Alejandro S. Trujillo, Chadrick D. James II, Ben Christopher, Art Sandoval Sr., Art Sandoval Jr., Robert Sandoval and Rudy Candelaria.
