A rosary is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 26, 2009 at St. Johns Catholic Church for Manuel Fajardo, 50 of Roswell who passed away March 21, 2009 at a local care facility. A funeral mass is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 27, 2009 at St. Johns Catholic Church. Fr. Juan Montoya, O.F.M will officiate. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.

Manuel was born on December 2, 1958 in Roswell, New Mexico to Leo Fajardo Sr. and Hortencia Bustamante Fajardo. His mother survives him in Roswell.

Manuel is also survived by his daughters: Michelle Vega and husband Chris of Roswell, April Kelly of Pennsylvania and Rebehah Sisdorek and husband John of Del.; his brothers: Leo Fajardo Jr. and wife Linda of Houston, TX, Raymond Fajardo and wife Dara of Roswell, Packy Fajardo and wife Sara of Roswell, Paul Fajarado of Roswell, Mike Fajardo, John Fajardo of Roswell and Lewis Fajardo of Lake Charles, LA; his sister: Anita Sandoval and husband Arthur of Roswell;his grandfather: Manuel Solis of Roswell; and his grandchildren: Whitney Harrell, Zachary, Abby, Ethan Vega, Anna Marie Sisdorek and Ashley Kelly.

Manuel is preceded in death by his father Leo Fajardo Sr. and a brother Ricky Fajardo.

Manuel was a life long resident of Roswell and was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church. He was instrumental in helping to form prison ministries with Johnny Gonzales. Manuel loved to fish and be with family especially his mom, dad and grandkids.

Pallbearers will be Gary Mendiola, Chris Vega, Eloy Castaneda, Anthony Fajardo, Frank Montoya and John Gavi. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brenden Johnson, Adam Fajardo, Brian Fajardo, Trent Johnson, Art Sandoval Jr., Robert Sandoval, Erik Johnson and John Scott Fajardo.
