Lvndal Duane Collis

Lyndal Lynn Duane Collis, 46, of Roswell, NM, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2013. Lenny was born October 13, 1965, in Roswell, NM, to Floyd and Imogene Collis, who preceded him in death.

Lenny was faced with many challenges in his lifetime, from birth to his demise. He was a strong young man, he fought and persevered many health challenges but when diagnosed with terminal cancer of which he was unable to combat successfully, he requested to be kept as comfortable and painfree as possible. Lenny was an outgoing young man, independent, and a very kind, easy going, loving and generous young man. From Lynns own writings he stated the following, I loved Gary, older brother, Marie, Mia, Kylee, Nathan, Isaiah, even though I havent got to see them much, my cousin Kathy McKay.

Lynn was perhaps most recognized as the young carrot topped young man that used to zip up and down the streets of Roswell on one of his many scooters, prior to his illness with cancer.

He was preceded in death by grandparents Foy and Jimmie Wade, Owners and Operators of Wades Donut Shop, formerly located on the corner of West 2n Street and N. Kentucky Ave. He is survived by his brother Gary Wayne Collis of Roswell cousins, Kathy McKay of Lubbock, TX., Jeanie Dodd, Earl Wade and Troy Wade of Midland, TX, good friends, Rick and Terri Furr, Tommy and Vicki Parker, The Tabosa Developmental Staff and residents.

A special acknowledgement to the Tabosa Developmental Staff and Administrators, the Tabosa Home Volunteers and to the Hospice nurses and staff of Vista Care for taking such good care of Lynn. Family and close friends will be eternally grateful to you for the care, concern and love that you showed him during this time. We thank you.
A sincere thank you to Anna Acosta, Tabosa Developmental Services for going above and beyond to hold a fund raiser to help pay for his last wishes.
