Lupe Franco

Lupe Franco was called home to be with the Lord and his departed loved ones on Monday, November 7, 2016 at home with his loved ones at his side.

Lupe was born on July 7, 1935 in Roswell, NM to Anita and Abran Franco. He worked hard all his life starting at a very young age. He began at Valley Chevrolet as a janitor and worked his way up to an excellent mechanic and finally one of the best transmission specialists.

Lupe married the love of his life Nora Apodoca in November of 1952. Our Dad was the true definition of a real man. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was and excellent provider and overall a fabulous person.

Lupe is preceded in death by his wife Nora; his son Guadalupe Franco; granddaughter Amber Jaramillo; grandson Lucas Serna and great granddaughter Cydney Jaramillo. Also by his parents and siblings; sisters Christina Montoya and Connie Franco; brothers Raymond and Johnny (Chonito) Gonzales.

Surviving children Abbie (Sherry), Francine (Alfred), Marla (Becky) and Lora (Randy); sisters Josephine Greene, Gloria Martinez (Rudy) and Erminda Garza; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A rosary and memorial service will be held at 10 am, Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at St. John's Catholic Church. Family will be receiving family and friends after services at 704 E. Chisum.
