Luella Pexton

Long time Roswell resident Luella Pexton passed away at Sunset Villa Care Center on December 28, 2007. Luella was born the daughter of August and Catherine Klein on May 7, 1909 in Edwardsville, Illinois. She was baptized into the Christian faith at Trinity Lutheran Church in Edwardsville on May 21, 1909 and was confirmed in May of 1921.

On September 29, 1934, she married Herbert Pexton in Chicago, Illinois. Luella was a graduate of University of Illinois and was a business manager for most of her career. Before her retirement she was an active member of the Chamber of Commerce.

She was a member of Immanuel Luther Church. She was proceeded in death by her husband and two sisters, Leona and Norma.

Funeral services will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Friday, January 4, at 2:00 p.m. with burial to follow at South Park Cemetery.
