Louise Harbert McCombs:

Services for Louise Harbert McCombs, 90, of Roswell will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday July 15, 2008 at Ballard Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stephanie Harmon of First United Methodist Church officiating. A burial will follow in South Park Cemetery. Louise passed away Saturday, July 12, 2008 at a local nursing home.

Louise was born March 22, 1918, in Green Forest, Arkansas to John Curtis and Margaret Simmons Harbert, both preceded her in death. She was raised in Neosho, Missouri. She married William Benton McCombs, Jr. on February17, 1940 in Roswell. He passed away on January 26, 1981.

Louise was a Roswell resident since 1937. She was a homemaker and dental technician. Louise was a active member in Beta Sigma Phi, Xi Kappa, First United Methodist Church and the Assistance League of Chaves County. Louise was an avid bridge player, who loved to travel and loved her family.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, twin sister Margaret, sister Alyce Hampton, Mary McCrite and Bonnie Cassel and brother Frank S. Harbert. Her Survivors include daughter Judy McCombs Gemmell and husband Gary of Scottsdale, Arizona; William B. McCombs III and wife Pam of Belton, Texas; and Steve H. McCombs and wife De of Dallas, Texas. She has five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
