Louis Doyle Hobbs
No services are scheduled at this time for Doyle Louis Hobbs, 60, who passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. Visitation will be held from 12 to 7 pm, Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Ballard Funeral Home for family and friends. A reception will follow at Esperanza Developmental Services. Doyle will be cremated according to his wishes.
Doyle was born August 20, 1951 in Roswell, NM to Claude and Minnie Hobbs. His parents preceded him in death. Doyle is also preceded in death by his brother Jimmy Dale Hobbs three sisters Sharon Haley, Claudine Belcher and Sue Rose Murdoch brother inlaw Manuel Villarreal III and his inlaws Manuel O. and Susan M. Villarreal.
He is survived by his wife Susan Hobbs of the family home sons David Hobbs and wife Samantha of Clovis and John Wesley Hobbs and Jessica Gutierrez of Clovis sisters Mary Belcher and husband Robert of Florida and Joan Dodd and husband Edward of Oklahoma grandchildren David Hobbs Jr. Tony Hobbs and John Wesley Hobbs Jr.his sistersinlaw Sandra Sanchez of Placitas, NM, Sally Sosa of Albuquerque, and Sharon Lara of Roswell and his special nieces and nephews Manuel IV, Matthew and Mason Villarreal, Jacob Ty Sanchez, Ashley Rae, Adam Barrera, Luke Lara, Syrea and Frankie Sosa and Hailey Villarreal.
Doyle was a lifelong resident of Roswell. He was a wonderful loving husband for twentysix years. Doyle loved his wife Susan, his children and grandchildren dearly. He loved to tell stories and argue with family members. He also enjoyed to barbque , cook, drink coffee in the mornings, watch cartoons and old TV shows. Doyle would always joke around to pester family and friends. He loved to be outside and go for walks, during the last few months of life he loved talking to his good friend Henry Contreras.
Honorary pallbearers will be his sons David and John Hobbs, brothersinlaws Frankie Sosa, Ramon Lara, Christopher Villarreal, Rodney Sanchez, Edward Villarreal and special friend Henry Contreras.
