Lora Lee (Wallace) Fritz, 63

Lora was born to Leo Wallace and Dorothy (Starr) Wallace on June 15, 1960, in Council Bluffs, IA. She was the youngest of 4 children. Carl, Lynnette, and Lisa. Lora graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Council Bluffs; she was in the class of 1978.

Lora grew up in Council Bluffs, and as she got older, she worked at K-Mart in her hometown and later in Red Oak, IA. Lora then moved on to Emerson, IA; where she worked at the Emerson Café, Emerson Farm Supply and Viners Inc. where she retired from.

Lora married Martin Lee Fritz in Council Bluffs on May 1, 1987. They lived in Pacific Junction, IA for a short time before moving to an acreage south of Emerson. They were blessed with two children Kathryn Marie and Jacob Lee. Lora continued to work at Viners Inc. until May 2014 when she retired and they moved to Roswell, NM.  Lora in her retirement would babysit for couples in the community, she loved all the kids like they were her own grandkids. A lot of them would call her “LaLa” or “Grandma LaLa.” The kids would receive gifts from her on their Birthday’s and for Christmas.

 Lora and Marty liked to take trips throughout New Mexico and Colorado on the weekends. Lora made many friends through her life. She had a passion for cooking and love to cook for any occasion. No one ever went away hungry if Lora was cooking. Lora was a member of the Redeemer Christian Fellowship.

Lora is preceded in death by her parents Leo and Dorothy Wallace; sister Lynette Albertson; brother-in-law Kenny Albertson, and father-in-law Thomas Fritz.

Those left to cherish and honor her memory are her husband Martin Lee Fritz of Roswell, NM; sister Lisa Hadfield and husband Allen of Teynor, IA; brother Carl Wallace and wife Lori of Omaha, NE; daughter Kathryn Marie Fritz and fiancé Rudi Torres of Philadelphia PA; son Jacob Lee Fritz and wife Rhaechel (Ohge) of Ames IA; mother-in-law Dixie Fritz; sister-in-law Deanna Mahoney and husband Dan of Presho, SD, and brother-in-law Matt Fritz and wife Mary.

The family will have a private memorial service on March 9, 2024. In lieu of flowers family request donations please be made in memory of Lora to Redeemer Christian Fellowship Church, 900 W. Berrendo Rd., Roswell, NM 88201.
