Lois M. Hendrix

Lois M. Hendrix passed away on November 20, 2023 at the age of 91, at her home in Roswell of natural causes. Lois had a long life with its share of joy and disappointments.

Lois was born in Summers, AR. On December 1, 1931 to David Lee Covey and Ruth Covey. She was the youngest of 13 children, her brothers and sisters were much older than her and out of the house, so she was really an only child. She grew up on the homestead just outside of Prairie Grove, AR for the first 12 years at which point she moved to Oklahoma City with her sister. She graduated from Capital Hill High School in 1950. Lois married Ralph Roberts that same year they had 3 children, Marvin Roberts, Cyndie Richardson and Charles C. Roberts. They divorced 17 years later. Lois moved to Roswell in 1963 and later married Howard Hendrix they were married until his death.

Lois is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Roberts, and husband Howard Hendrix; sons Charles Roberts and Rodney Hendrix.

She is survived by son Marvin Roberts; daughter Cyndie Richardson both of Roswell; 12 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at South Park Cemetery with Pastor Tom Blake officiating.
