Lois Lorene Dalton

A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 29, 2008 at the Ballard Chapel for Lois Lorene Dalton, 89, of Roswell who passed away February 25, 2008 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. Pastor Mel Suttle of First Assembly of God Church will officiate. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.

Lois was born on November 18, 1918 to Clyde Monroe Ivie and Eva May Powers Ivie. Her parents have preceded her in death.

Lois married Grady Lee Dalton in November of 1948 in Roswell. Her husband has preceded her in death as well as one daughter Eulalia Young and two brothers Emery Ivie and Marvin Ivie.

Lois is survived by her daughters: Judy Bates and husband Bob of San Angelo, Texas and Maxine Morely and husband Vaughn of Arkansas; and a son: Marvin Wayne Dalton of Albuquerque, NM; her sisters Audrey Stanaland of Louisiana and Eulalia Surette of Albuquerque, NM; as well as eleven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and eight great, great grandchildren.

Lois has lived in Roswell for over seventy years and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.

Pallbearers will be Robert Bates Jr., Craig Bates, Brandon Bates and Nathan Bates. Honorary pallbearers will be Thurman Lester and Billy Joe Shelton.
