Lee Mack Rucker

Lee Mack Rucker went on to another life with the Lord on Monday, August 20, 2012. Lee was born in Sweetwater, TX on February 16, 1929 to Homer and Allie Lee Hodges Rucker.

Lee Graduated from Texas Tech University I 1951 with a degree in Agriculture. He taught Ag in Fabens, TX until 1953, and then moved to Roswell, NM. Lee was a Roswell resident for 46 years and an Allstate Insurance Agent for 38 years. He was a member of Elks, Lions Club and Masons.

Lee was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Velna Corrine Hodges Rucker and his parents.

He is survived by his second wife of 13 years Kay Taylor Thompson Rucker his three children Cynthia Kay Thompson Tim of Carrizozo, NM, Larry Lee Rucker Melissa of Caballo, NM and Sandra Sue Jones of Southlake, TX. He has six grandchildren Sean Carter of Florida, Corinn Pope of North Carolina, Rigel Rucker of Texas, Alicia Rucker of New Mexico, Jordan Jones of Texas and Taylor Jones of Texas and five great grandchildren.

Lee will be remembered as one of the friendliest people you would ever meet and always willing to lend a helping hand.

A Celebration of Life service for friends and family is scheduled for 10 am, Saturday, August 25, 2012 at San Juan Church in Lincoln, NM.
