Lazaro Frias, 74, passed away on July 3, 2009 at Mission Arch in Roswell. A Rosary has been scheduled for Monday, July 6, 2009, 7:00 PM at St. Johns Catholic Church, and Mass will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2009, 10:00 AM at St. Johns Catholic Church. Fr. Juan Montoya, O.F.M. will officiate. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.
Lazaro was born on April 7, 1935 to Gregoria Frias and Juana Chavez in Chihuahua, Mexico. Lazaro was a feeder for the dairies.
Lazaros wife, Maria Villarreal Frias, survives him at their family home in Dexter. He is also survived by his son, Jose Frias and his wife Rosemarie of Dexter, three daughters: Guadalupe Frias of Dexter, Emilia Lozano and husband, Nicolas of Texas, and Juana Gonzales and husband, Isidro of Dexter, one brother, Bonifacio Frias of Arizona, three sisters: Diega Frias of Dexter, Teodula Jaramillo of Hatch, and Quintina Frias of Chihuahua, Mexico, 20 grandchildren, and 28 great grandchildren. Lazaro was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Adriana Grajeda, and two brothers, Eufemio Frias and Manuel Frias. Pallbearers will be Jose Frias, Nicolas Lozano, Jose Soto, Jr., Juan Antonio Grajeda, Isidro Gonzales, and Eustaquio Cepeda.
