Lavonne Taylor

LaVonne C. Taylor, age 90, passed away, Thursday, December 27, 2007 in Albuquerque, NM. Born June 22, 1917, in Batesville, AR to Woods and Audria Clark. She moved to Roswell, NM in 1921. Upon graduation from Roswell High School in 1935, she was employed by Roswell Auto Co where she met her husband of 35 years, member of the First United Methodist Church of Roswell, the Roswell Assistance League, and served as a volunteer at Roswell hospitals, museums, and the Roswell Public Schools.

LaVonne was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd, daughter, Deborah Ann Conner, brother Woods T. Clark, Jr., and Sister Edith Young. She is survived by her son L. Thomas Taylor and wife Mary of Edgewood, NM. Grandchildren: Auvergne Taylor of Albuquerque, Clark Taylor of Plano, TX, Amie Duran of Edgewood, NM, Sean Glackman of Edgewood, NM, Sean Glackman of Edgewood, NM, Angela Stefek of Chandler, AZ, Kimberly Estrella of Chandler, AZ, six great grandchildren, and former husband Frank J. Lucky, Jr. of Roswell.

Services will be held at the Ballard Chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 31, 2007. Burial will follow in South Park Cemetery. Rev. Archie Echols of First United Methodist Church will officiate. In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that you contribute to your preferred charity in memory of Mom.
