Laura Lee Stephey

Memorial services are scheduled on June 19, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Ballard Funeral Home Chapel for Laura Lee Stephey, 54 of Roswell who passed away Monday, June 14, 2010 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. Rev. Stephanie Harmon of First United Methodist Church will officiate.

Laura was born in Springfield, Ohio on October 2, 1955 to Ronald Almgren and Nancy Hallam. Her mother preceded her in death. She married Richard Stephey in Florence, Arizona on September 18, 1992. He survives her at their family home in Roswell.

Laura is also survived by her father, Ronald Almgren of Tucson, Arizona her daughter, Chanda Almgren of Tucson, Arizona three brothers: Steven Almgren of Tucson, Arizona, Walter Almgren of Tucson, Arizona, and Tom Almgren of Florida, and one sister, Kim Kennedy of Tucson, Arizona. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren.

Laura was a housewife and lived in Roswell for 13 years. She was a member of Waymaker Church. Laura enjoyed collecting angels and dolphins. She also liked to knit. More than anything, she loved spending time with her grandkids and making people smile.
