Kent Dougal

William K. Dougal – AKA Kent or Kenny 90, of Roswell, NM passed to be with his bride, Dora on February 14, 2020. Born in Van Wert, OH on August 21, 1929 and was the only son of Miles Edgar and Wanda (Moore). Kent graduated from Sugar Grove Ohio High School in 1948. That year he enlisted in the US Navy and was honorably discharged in 1952. Kent married Dora M. (Lohr) on January 31, 1952, they enjoyed a truest and enduring love that lasted 67 years.

Kent was employed in 1960 by Transwestern Pipeline Company where he worked as a mechanic and dispatcher in Texas and New Mexico for 25 years, retiring in 1985. He remained in Roswell until his death.

Kent is survived by his dog, Skippy. Also his children Marsha (Morris) and Ronald of Sunray, TX, their daughters Lisa (West) Jason of Dumas, TX, their children Sophia and Liam and Lori (Brazeal) Jeremy of Dumas, TX , Kelly (Stanley) and Jonathon of Almont, MI and their son Andrew (Katie) of Holland, MI and Michael (Tonya) of Rowlett, TX and their children Zachary and Jaden. Totaling 1 fur buddy, 3 children, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Kent is also survived by Dora’s niece Carolyn Raye (Lohr) Tusing and her family in Orange, VA.

Kent is preceded in death by his father Miles E. (Francis) Dougal of St. Francisville, LA and mother Wanda Davis of Fort Wayne, IN. Also, his beloved aunt Bonnie (Jim) Rison of Fort Wayne, IN.

Kent’s family would like to thank Julie Adams, sisters Rosana, Elizabeth, Adriana and Lorenna, as well as Christopher Hicks for a job well done. Special thanks to Annie Gillespie for encouragement and companionship.

A special memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, February 24, 2020 at Grace Community Church. Kent will be cremated and interred with Dora at Walker’s United Methodist Church in Orange, VA.
