Julians survivors include his son, Cassie Barela of Roswell daughter in law Rose Barela of Colorado sister Augstina Dominguez of Roswell and niece Joann Betancur sister in law Tomas Quiroz and husband Evaristo a of Dexter, NM granddaughter Melanie Barela of Roswell, grandson Mathew Gonzales of Colorado and numerous nieces and nephew and also his very close friend, Sara Rodriguez.
Julian liked watching western movies and was a Colorado sports team fan. He was a very good gardener and liked to play bingo.
