Juanita (Neta) Burns

Born September 25, 1942 to John T. and Rutonse Burns in Pittsburg, OK. She went home to be with our Lord on Saturday, December 26, 2020.

First and foremost, she was a Lady devoted to the Lord and read her Bible every day. After graduation she moved along with family to Roswell, NM. She was very close to her brothers and sisters and they all loved and respected her dearly. Juanita went to work for Levi Strauss in 1967 and was there until they closed in 1998. She met many lifelong friends from Levi’s, one in particular was Welma Sanders who trained her. She had no children of her own but had many nieces and nephews that she loved very much that considered her as a mother/grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Virgil Burns and wife Armel, Bob Burns and wife Dorothy, Royce Burns and wife Lela, and Jim Burns, also brothers-in-law Kenneth Bryant and Vermon Vaughn.

Those left to cherish her memory are her three sisters Wilora Bryant, Veta Vaughn and Sue Arnold and husband Ron; sister-in-law Barbara Stinson. Along with numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces and even some great-great nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Ballard Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm, Thursday, December 31, 2020 at South Park Cemetery. Live Zoom will be available at this website:
