Juana Martinez, a beloved mother and grandmother, peacefully departed this world on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at the age of 83, in Roswell, New Mexico. Born on July 13, 1941, in Camargo Chihuahua, Mexico to Leonidez and Juana Martinez. Juana was known for her unwavering love, kindness, and remarkable sense of humor that warmed the hearts of all who knew her.
As the years rolled by, Juana embraced her role as a mother and grandmother with open arms, offering support and care through both the joyous moments and the challenges of life. Her nurturing spirit and innate ability to comfort those around her created a loving environment that will forever be cherished by her family. Juana had an extraordinary gift for making everyone feel special, and her witty sense of humor remained a hallmark of her personality until her last breath.
Among her treasured memories, family trips to Camargo stand out. Juana loved to travel all together with her family, whose bonds grew stronger with each journey taken together. These adventures not only filled her heart with joy but also forged lasting memories that will forever be cherished by her loved ones.
Not only did Juana have a love for her family, but Juana also had a profound passion for plants and nature. Her yard was a testament to her green thumb; it bloomed with the most beautiful roses, earning admiration from neighbors who often sought her expertise. Juana’s home was not just a place of residence, but a haven filled with colors, scents, and life, reflecting the warmth of her spirit.
Juana also cherished the simple pleasures of life, often taking peaceful walks to enjoy the beauty of her surroundings. These moments of connection with nature brought her joy and tranquility, further enriching her life and the lives of those around her.
Juana is survived by her sons: Carlos Garcia, Edmundo Garcia, and David Garcia; daughters: Graciela Aubert and Guadalupe Scott; brother Carlos Martinez; sisters: Aurelia Martinez Hernandez and Hortencia Martinez Hernandez; 11 Grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers: David Garcia, Carlos Garcia, Edmundo Jr., David Garcia Jr., Oscar Martinez, Gustavo Banuelas, Omar Aubert, and Julio Fierro.
Honorary Pallbearers: Refugio Solis, Gabriel Garcia, Kenny Samora, Warren Scott, and Edward Aubert.
A funeral service celebrating Juana's remarkable life will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Ballard Chapel, beginning at 2:00 PM. Following the service there will be a burial at South Park Cemetery. This gathering will honor the love she shared and the legacy she leaves behind, a legacy steeped in compassion, laughter, and unwavering support.
As we say goodbye for now, but not forever to this remarkable woman, we are grateful for the time spent with her and the countless lives she touched with her love. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever bloom in our hearts.
