Juan T. Montoya El Tejon

A memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at New Destiny Church, 2322 N. Sherman at 5:00 p.m. for Juan T. Montoya, 97 of Roswell, who passed away Friday, December 01, 2006 at a local care center. Pastor Lawrence Sanchez will officiate. He is to be cremated as per his wishes.

Juan was born on February 8, 1909 to Jesus and Maria Trujillo Montoya in Roswell, NM. His parents precede him in death as well as a son Roy Dominquez, six brothers: Richard Montoya, Casemiro Montoya, Salome Pineda, Juan Pineda, Pedro Pete Montoya and Abaristo Montoya and six sisters: Josefina Garcia, Martha Hernandez, Pauline Balderama, Mary Montoya, Andrea Montoya and Cuca Montoya.

Juan is survived by his two sons: Billy Joe Montoya of Roswell and David Dominguez of Trenton SC; four daughters: Juanita Montoya of Roswell, Rose Marie Fuentes of Merced, CA, Mary Hope Zepeda of Planada, CA and Dorthy Carrasco of Le Grand, CA; and one Brother: Rev. Richard Montoya.

Juan was a Veteran of WWII serving on the Allusion Island of Attu in Alaska with the 713 SAW Co.

Mr. Montoya will lie in state at Ballard Funeral Home Monday, December 4, 2006 from 9-5. The Family will receive friends at 303 E. McCune.
